Family Times, What Could Be Better?

I was raised in a large family and my parents also took in foster children.  Being the second child and oldest girl it was left to me, at an early age, to learn to cook and help with the cooking duties around our home.  Lucky for me I loved cooking and found it to be fun and an adventure with each new recipe.

My cooking led to investigating the world of chocolate and I became a professional candy maker. I opened and operated my own candy business for 13 years.  When keeping up with 3 stores became more work than fun I decided to scale back and closed two of my locations and went into the candy/bakery business. I decided that I didn't like the early morning hours of running a bakery and at that point I decided to retire from the daily grind of cooking and candy making and so I closed altogether.

I now spend time enjoying my husband, sewing, and still cooking but only for the two of us, on most days.  Our children are grown and we see them as often as we can.  Our son and 4 beautiful grandchildren live in St. Louis where he is an Anesthesiologist and our daughter lives in Seattle where she is a nurse.  Both learned to cook while living at home and both are good cooks and enjoy cooking too.

Good food, friends, and family .  When you have these life is good, at least that is how we feel.  This web business is a place where I can explore my love of cooking and cooking materials.  Come and visit often as I will be looking for new products, recipes, and ideas to make your food and family times enjoyable.  And of course - good eating!!!
